The municipality of Abu Dhabi has recently opened its internal streets project at Musaffah West-East.
Work on the project began in 2007 at a total cost of AED 116 million, Emirates News Agency (ENA) reports.
The project is part of a wider city strategy to strengthen infrastructure in order to keep up with the accelerated economic and urban growth of the Musaffah area. The area has become an attractive prospect for people targeting property investment in the UAE.
Construction covered various streets at the Musaffah Industrial Area while the Abu Dhabi – Al Ain Trucks Road was also widened through additional lanes in the sector approaching Musaffah, the news provider said.
New opportunities for property development in the area have also been presented with the construction of entry points for accommodations and commercial outlets at Musaffah Industrial Area and at Mohammed bin Zayed City, ENA added.
Abu Dhabi's department of municipal affairs says that today it is "handling the unprecedented expansion of Abu Dhabi city by modernising its facilities, adopting latest technologies, streamlining its process and investing in human capital to improve overall service delivery".
