Commercial property owners in Dubai may be interested to learn that the first phase of the Yas Island development has been supported by Aconex.
This means that phase one of the development will be ready in time for 2009's Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix on Sunday (November 1st).
The development is said to be worth in the region of $40 billion and includes the Yas Marina Circuit.
Yas Island sits off the city of Abu Dhabi and includes attractions such as top specification hotels, golf courses, marinas and shopping malls which are contained within the 25 sq km site.
Steve Worrell, Yas Island project director, said: "We have thousands of workers and a great deal of staff migration. With Aconex, we have confidence that, even when people move on, we won't be pulled off schedule because we can't access the information we need."
He added praise to the company in saying that with Aconex, the information is always readily available.
Aldar developments was established in 2005 and is the developer for the site.
