An annual event which took place this week could be relevant to those with a commercial property in Dubai.

The 3rd Annual Middle East Hospitality Expansion Congress set out to attract capital investment to the region.

It was also keen to promote the emirate as a key tourist area.

Addresses were given to attendees by some influential figures in the hospitality sector.

Blair Hagkull, managing director for Jones Lang LaSalle in the Middle East, focused on the region's hospitality performance in his talk.

He said the future was becoming brighter as: "Markets [are] seeing positive investor sentiments about the future of Middle East and North Africa real estate as well as a positive net balance of the three richest energy economies."

The professional also marked out 2010 to be a vintage year, anticipating that an increased number of potential buyers over sellers would be experienced.

Jones Lang LaSalle is a financial company that currently employs over 30,000 staff worldwide. These people work in 60 different countries in 750 locations.

Its speciality is in investment management and real estate services.
