History, tradition and property in Ras Al Khaimah were celebrated this week as the emirate remembered its origins.
Its annual UAE National Day celebrations were once again a day to remember for those in the region, with a series of events taking place throughout Wednesday November 25th, just ahead of the annual UAE National Day holidays got underway.
Kicking off the events was a performance by the Ras Al Khaimah Police Band in the Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) Business Park in Al Nakheel, reports Eye of Dubai.
This was followed by a variety of local and traditional celebratory events, including a wide selection of local delicacies and traditional dancing, giving people with property in Ras Al Khaimah an opportunity to get to know the region's culture a bit better.
"To make sure that we introduce our friends to many different aspects of the UAE’s rich culture, we really laboured over which aspects of our traditions to showcase," Oussama El Omari, RAK FTZ chief executive, told the news provider.
Meanwhile, yachting's most prestigious race may yet come to Ras Al Khaimah, after the defending champions of the America's Cup went to court earlier this week.
Swiss team Alinghi wants to hold the event in Ras Al Khaimah, but a court in New York disqualified the location in a previous legal battle.
