Longchamp has sent its chief executive officer (CEO) Jean Cassegrain over to visit commercial property in Dubai and mark the anniversary of the first opening of the store at a shopping centre in the emirate.
The boutique started up at the Dubai Mall last November and now has outlets in other UAE regions, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Egypt to expand its presence in the Middle East.
Mr Cassegrain was joined by Longchamp's international director Stephanie Beraud on the visit, which included the showcase of a new 'it' bag and the brand's spring summer collection of totes.
The Middle East, said the CEO, is a "fascinating market".
"We are very committed about our continued expansion in this region," he added.
The Dubai Mall is likely to provide some excellent shopping opportunities to most visitors to the emirate.
Stores such as Monsoon, Cacherel Paris, Pampolina and Tommy Hilfiger Kids are some of the many brands present at the centre, which also offers entertainment and dining opportunities.
