Abu Dhabi is fast becoming an international business hub, it has been suggested.
The comments, which could be very encouraging for those with UAE property investments, came from the chairman of the Abu Dhabi Media Company His Excellency Mohamed Khalaf Al Mazrouei.
He spoke at the launch of the Abu Dhabi Media Summit, which is scheduled to take place from March 9th to 12th 2010. It aims to bring together discussions, public sessions and various debates on topics such as the mobile broadband industry, print media, television and marketing - focusing specifically on east Asian, Chinese and Middle Eastern markets.
His Excellency said the company - established in 2007 as a public joint stock organisation - was pleased to announce the event, because the emirate was quickly emerging as a leader in fields such as culture, innovation and architecture.
"The creative industries play a key role in the longer-term economic strategy of our city, as we embrace a diversified economic role," he added.
Confirmed delegates so far include Steve Ballmer of Microsoft, Rupert Murdoch of News Corporation and Didier Lombard of Orange/France Telecom, among others.
