New centre 'redefines healthcare for the region'

The opening of a new healthcare facility could serve to increase the appeal of buying in Dubai.

The Dubai Mall Medical Centre offers the largest outpatient facility in the region and is located in central Burj Dubai.

The centre is the result of a partnership between Emaar Healthcare and Methodist International. By making the project a joint venture, visitors and patients of the centre will be able to use resources such as the Methodist Hospital health library.

Mr Omar Al Shunnar, chief executive officer of Emaar Healthcare Group, said: "The Dubai Mall Medical Centre embodies the vision of Emaar Healthcare Group to serve as a true vehicle of change by redefining healthcare delivery in the region."

Mr Omar further commented that the premium facility has opened after months of "elaborate preparation" aided by Methodist International's medical on-hand experience.

Methodist International has 100 years' experience which includes the Methodist Hospital achieving top-rank for patient satisfaction in America.

In the next ten years, Emaar Healthcare Group plans to develop and manage over 100 hospitals, medical centres and clinics in the Middle East and north Africa region, south-east Asia and the Indian subcontinent.
