Mexico delegation to 'promote Dubai trade'
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry has underlined the potential of improved business ties with Mexico.

A trade delegation from Mexico met with representatives from the UAE and other countries in the Middle East to discuss creating new business opportunities.

More than 22 Mexican partnerships are already established in Dubai and non-oil trade exceeded AED1 billion (£181 million) in 2007.

The meeting follows the 2008 Arab-Greek Forum, held earlier this week, which sought to strengthen existing investment relations with Greece.

Director of external relations at the Dubai Chamber, Hassan Al Hashemi, outlined the vision for forging new Dubai investment relationships.

He said: "As part of its strategy in supporting and promoting business interests in the emirate, Dubai Chamber sees a great potential in this business matching meeting bringing Dubai and Mexican businessmen on a common platform.

"I wish the delegates all the best in this endeavour."
