The revamped Executive Flights Centre (EFC) was officially unveiled at the Middle East Business Aviation conference (MEBA 2008) at the weekend.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and chairman of Dubai Airports, announced the luxury two-storey terminal.
Within easy access of Terminal 2, EFC has a dedicated VIP car park, provisions for up to 22 private jets and conference facilities.
Passengers are able to pass through fast-track security gates and have access to limousine transfers between aircraft and the terminal building.
"This development is part of our strategy to cope with the rapid growth of the business aviation sector in Dubai and in line with the greater objective of making Dubai the most preferred destination for international business and tourism," said Sheikh Al Maktoum.
The EFC was opened in 1988 and has since proved popular with celebrities, sports personalities and business travellers.
