Jude Law visits Dubai's latest exclusive nightspot

Jude Law was just one of the famous faces to turn up to a special night at Dubai's newest nightspot.The actor was the guest of honour at The Act, which is the highest theatre venue on the planet, as well as an exclusive club.According to Gulf News, the 40-year-old - who has appeared in numerous hit films such as Enemy at the Gates, The Holiday and Sherlock Holmes - stayed at the Shangri-la Hotel on Shaikh Zayed Road during his stay in the UAE.He was joined at the club by British model Jodie Kidd and owner of the venue Simon Hammerstein. The latter told the news provider a little bit about the emirate's latest trendy celebrity haunt."Dubai has always sought the best of everything, whether [it] is the biggest fish tank or tallest building so now we feel it is about time to start building the culture and lifestyle, starting with the highest theatre in the world," Hammerstein was quoted as saying.It seems that barely a week goes by without a glitzy new club opening its doors in Dubai.Earlier this month, Pamela Anderson visited the swanky VIP Room at the new JW Marriott Marquis Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road. Speaking to tabloid!, she said is was nice to be back in the city for the first time in five years.The emirate is always heavily populated by famous people and you never know who you are going to see in the city's luxurious hotels, gourmet restaurants and ultra-trendy nightclubs.Troubled US actress Lindsay Lohan is another star who has a strong affection for the Gulf. In February, she tweeted that she was planning another trip to the Middle East, where she is likely to size up a number of business opportunities.With so many fantastic buildings springing up across the city, it is no surprise at all that filmstars, sporting icons and other famous faces are falling over themselves to snap up glamorous properties in Dubai.
