TripAdvisor finds Dubai's most romantic hotel

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, plenty of men will be desperately trying to find out which Dubai hotels offer the most romantic ambience.TripAdvisor has compiled a list of the finest resorts to take your partner on February 14th and it seems the Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa is the place to be.It was ranked as the most romantic retreat in the Middle East and was also the eighth best in the world.Considering how many wonderful luxury hotels Dubai has at its disposal, this is a very big honour to receive. The hotel is already extremely popular, as a spokesperson told Emirates 24/7 that it is running at between 90 and 100 per cent occupancy in February.General manager of the complex Patrick Antaki said he was extremely proud to earn such recognition."To be regarded as the best hotel amongst such fierce, innovative and deserving competitors is a tremendous achievement and we will continue to set our standards high and try and ensure all our guests enjoy an outstanding experience during their stay with us," he was quoted as saying. This is not the first accolade that Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa has picked up since it first opened in 1999.In 2011, it was ranked in the top 20 of Conde Nast Traveller's list of the best hotels in the Middle East, North Africa and the Indian Ocean. It has also won numerous prizes for its vital role in the conservation of Dubai. The resort is situated in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve and guests can see indigenous Middle Eastern wildlife from the comfort of the hotel's infinity pool.Of course, there are plenty of other fantastic places to stay throughout the emirate on Valentine's Day - particularly in the centre of town. Many love-struck men will no doubt choose a resort in Downtown Dubai or on the Palm Jumeirah, as these are within easy reach of the city's wonderful array of gourmet restaurants and designer boutiques.
