Gartner Symposium/ITxpo to be held in Dubai

The all-important Gartner Symposium/ITxpo will be held in Dubai between March 5th and 7th 2013.Leaders at the research organisation believe the event is the technology industry's "largest and most strategic conference" for chief information officers (CIOs) and IT executives.The global series takes place in eight locations around the world and this is the first time it is to be staged in the Middle East.It is said to be the most important gathering of its kind and it gives technology professionals an opportunity to network with likeminded people - allowing them to make IT improvements within their respective organisations.Gartner has now revealed details about the guest speakers set to appear at the Madinat Jumeirah Hotel.Firstly, Gabor George Burt - an internationally-recognised expert on innovation, creativity and strategy development - will be joined by relationship development specialist Keith Ferrazzi at the conference."This year's agenda is built around four key areas: high-impact business and IT trends, leadership and skills development for the CIO and senior IT executive, the skills needed to create a high-performance organisation and industry-focused issues and opportunities," commented Mary Mesaglio, research vice president at Gartner and conference chair for Gartner Symposium/ITxpo.More than 500 CIOs and senior executives are expected to attend the event, which is just one of many important exhibitions and conferences to be staged in Dubai this year.With so many fantastic hotels and world-class centres and arenas at its disposal, Dubai has emerged as a hub for crucial international corporate meetings.It is not just the technology sector that is big business in the UAE either.The prestigious International Property Show will also go ahead in Dubai between April 30th and May 2nd, which will give investors a unique opportunity to add new buildings to their portfolios.Policy makers from Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region will all be in attendance, so the demand for places at the event is likely to be extremely high.
