Some people are attracted to Dubai for its incredible shopping outlets, others for its abundance of wealth and gold, but for many it is the exciting nightlife that is most appealing when visiting the emirate.According to City AM, fans can now get an injection of the London after-hours scene, as an influx of new venues have opened mimicking the likes of the Mayfair and Soho districts of the London capital, which are frequented by the uber-rich and celebrities.Restaurants, cocktail and wine bars and nightclubs are springing up all over Dubai replicating the most famous haunts in London.Recently, Mo*vida and Mahiki welcomed their first night owls in the Middle Eastern metropolis, with the latter venue's British counterpart becoming famous thanks to its patrons Princes William and Harry, the cast of Made in Chelsea and a host of famous movie, television, pop and sports stars. These newcomers to the Dubai night scene offer all the see-and-be-seen appeal of their carbon copies overseas, except these latest incarnations offer the fabulous Arabian climate and a bewitching backdrop of the city's emerging cityscape. In addition to Mo*vida and Mahiki, a clutch of new restaurants with British roots have set up shop in the exotic urban hub. Some of the recent openings include the Rivington Grill - which will be familiar to Londoners who frequent Hoxton and Greenwich - Mango Tree, Gaucho, Hakkasan, Nobu and paparazzi favourite The Ivy.Furthermore, Dubai is home to the largest Zuma in the world and City Am recommends a visit to its fantastic bar.And after a night of partying, revellers may feel like re-energising with a hearty brunch - another custom Britain may have helped to introduce to the UAE and the publication recommends frequenting one of the luxurious hotels that hold brunches from mid-morning to late afternoon.Friday is the start of the weekend in Dubai and is therefore the best time of the week for this type of snack, with many establishments offering international favourites including eggs Benedict, freshly-squeezed orange juice and all-you-can-eat buffets laden with food.
