In just over a decade, Dubai Internet City has transformed itself into a thriving business hub, attracting on average 14 new investors each month, according to the Managing Director of DIC and Dubai Outsource Zone. Speaking to Gulf News, Malek Sultan Al Malek said that in the last few months alone, the number of companies operating in DIC has reached over 1,400. Since launching in 2000, DIC has grown rapidly to become a vibrant home to more than 25,000 workers from 150 different companies. It is strategically located directly across the Sheikh Zayed Road from the bustling business district of TECOM, home to The First Group’s three hotel apartment developments; First Central, Metro Central and soon to open Grand Central.
