The UAE has developed a habit of attracting the world's leading sporting personalities to major events in the country, and they don't come much bigger than Radamel Falcao at the moment. With 16 goals in 15 games so far this season, the prolific Colombian international is one of the hottest properties in world football. The Atletico Madrid star - otherwise known as The Tiger due to his predatory instinct - is set to appear at the Dubai International Sports Conference, which will be held at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel on December 28th and 29th.He will be joined by a host of household names, including former England coach Fabio Capello and Uefa president Michel Platini.Organised by the Dubai Sports Council (DSC), the event is seen as one of the main platforms for the UAE's sports industry and a number of key issues will be discussed.Head of the DSC organising committee Mohammed Al Kamali suggested it is a real coup to secure an appearance from one of the most sought-after strikers on the planet."We have always strived to bring the best to Dubai and Falcao is by far the most interesting footballer at this moment with so much interest in him from other clubs," he remarked."Last year we had Cristiano Ronaldo here and Dubai got an opportunity to see a legend. This year we have several others to captivate the interest of the fans."Falcao, aged 26, will be targeted by a string of top European clubs during the January transfer window and his reputation grew even further over the weekend (December 9th) when he smashed in five goals in his club's 6-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna. The Madrid club signed the prolific South American from Portuguese side FC Porto following an extremely impressive stint in the Uefa Europa League.Falcao netted an incredible 17 goals in 14 games as he fired his side to glory in the European competition in 2011.
