"The trial has yielded some very valuable insight which we will be analysing and acting on in the days and weeks ahead," he remarked.
Mr Griffiths added that the findings will be put together in the next few days and scrutinised thoroughly before any final tweaks are made.
Around 57 million people are expected to pass through the airport in 2012, which is obviously very close to the facility's overall capacity.
The Dubai Airports leader suggested that 66 million people are likely to visit the city in 2013, so the expansion work is timely.
"Concourse A is another critical element of the $7.8 billion Strategic Plan 2020 which includes the expansion of Dubai International to accommodate the tremendous growth we expect over the next decade," he continued.
The new Al Maktoum International Airport is also expected to open to passengers in 2013, helping to take some of the strain off the main airport.
