UAE benefits from $76bn FDI

The number of people tempted to invest in property in the Middle East could be set to rise.That is after official data showed that the UAE has attracted more than $76 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) since its creation 40 years ago.The figures, published by the UN Conference on Trade and Development, show that the UAE is now the second largest foreign capital destination in the Arab world after Saudi Arabia.According to the data, the cumulative FDI into the UAE has now reached $76.17 billion, which accounts for nearly 12.6 per cent of the overall Arab FDI inflow of $603 billion.With the amount of money being pumped into the UAE on the rise, property investors could be tempted to embark on new developments now in order to benefit in the long-term.Meanwhile, inflation in Abu Dhabi was recently shown to be at a two-year low, meaning residents have seen their disposable income increase.
