Despite witnessing their team go down in the first Test match between England and Pakistan, the team's Barmy Army of fans have been quick to lavish praise on the hospitality they've encountered since entering the emirate. Although it is winter in the UAE, England's army of followers were treated to glorious sunshine on all three days of the event. And given the stadium's close proximity to some of Dubai's most famous landmarks, the fans found it easy to hop to other popular tourist locations. Speaking to Gulf News, Maqbul Dudhia, Dubai Sports City general manager, explained that more England fans are expected to travel to emirate for the upcoming one day series. "We made all arrangements in conjunction with the tour operators to make it comfortable for the fans," he commented. "We are keen in helping the promotion of sports tourism in the UAE." The next Test will begin in Abu Dhabi on January 25th, with England hoping to level the three-match series.
