Dubai stock market on the rise

Property investors with business interests in the Middle East will be among those encouraged to see the emirate's stock market moving in the right direction.The stock market rose to its highest level in more than a month, the National reported.According to the newspaper, it comes as investors speculate more revenue from developers in the short term.Indeed, the rise followed an announcement from hotel and mall management company Majid Al Futtaim, showing that it saw profits increase by 21 per cent in 2011.Meanwhile, Dubai Mall owner Emaar properties reported growth of 3.6 per cent to Dh2.55 per share.Tariq Qaqish, a senior fund manager at Al Mal Capital in Dubai, told the news provider: "The market has reached to a point where the downside risk is minimal."Speculation on small stocks has encouraged a bigger pool of investors to participate."The news, coupled with the expert's comments, could encourage a number of property investors to expand their portfolios.
