ADAC chairman hails airports success

The success that is Abu Dhabi airport has been hailed by the chairman of the Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) after 30 years of operation.Opening on January 4th 1982, the airport recently celebrated its 30-year anniversary and Khalifa Al Mazroui has highlighted the venue's achievements in the past three decades."The emirate of Abu Dhabi has experienced remarkable development in this short period of time, with Abu Dhabi International Airport being a vital part of the capital's growth," he commented. "Already established as a major international hub for travellers around the globe, Abu Dhabi International Airport is committed to further developing into a leading airport in the region, and a key contributor to the Abu Dhabi 2030 vision of economic diversification."Recently-published figures have shown that Abu Dhabi International Airport has handled 126 million passengers in its 30-year history.The airport saw a 16 per cent increase in passenger traffic in November, the fifth consecutive month the emirate has recorded over a million visitors.
