Dubai could see rise in passengers as airlines cut prices

Passenger numbers to emirates including Dubai look likely to increase as airline tickets to many destinations in the Middle East fall following Eid Al Adha.Reports suggest that fares will be reduced by between 20 and 30 per cent in the two months after Eid, giving people the opportunity to visit the area at a lower cost.During the festival itself, ticket fares increase by 50 per cent, but this fail ls to ensure that occupancy rates remain high, Al Khaleej reports.Saeed Al Abedi, head of Al Abedi Holding Group, told Emirates 24-7 that the period after school's resumption is for the travel sector."This is when major European companies make attractive and alluring offers to attract travellers," he said."The airlines have begun offering reduced classes on the market, the difference in price to the same classes may in some cases up to 2000 dirhams."It comes as Singapore airlines increase flight numbers ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
