Apple has launched its first online store in the United Arab Emirates as the area continues to attract the world's leading retail names.Residents in the UAE are expected to purchase their Apple products through the internet because the technology giant has cut its product costs online.Furthermore, anyone purchasing an item for more than Dh520, including iPhones, Macs and iPads, will be given free delivery, reports gulfnews.com.Hazeem Salem, senior research analyst at IDC Middle East, told the news provider that it could lead to price reductions in other electronics stores."The website needs to only cover duties and transport costs for shipping, but the store has other overheads and its margin is affected," he explained. "At the store you get the products instantly, but online you have to wait a few days. With these prices, it's worth the delay."Last week, it was revealed that Apple's iPhone 4 reclaimed the title of the world's thinnest smartphone at just 9.3mm thick.
