1,000 exhibitors expected for Dubai Airshow

Dubai's status as one of the world's top trade hubs is set to be enhanced further still with the upcoming Dubai Airshow. With eight weeks still to go until the annual event, organiser F&E Aerospace has revealed that this year's show is set to be one of the biggest ever.In all, around 1,000 exhibitors from 50 countries are expected to set up their stalls in the emirate, representing a 12 per cent increase on 2009's number.Furthermore, it is anticipated that around 55,000 international visitors will attend the Dubai Airshow 2011, spelling good news for the local economy.Notably, according to F&E, around one in five exhibitors at this year's event will be newcomers, highlighting the degree to which it is growing and effectively generating interest around the world.Meanwhile, according to Arabian Aerospace, some of the world's top defence chiefs will be heading to Dubai in the run-up to the Airshow as the emirate's Jumeirah Beach Hotel plays host to the annual International Air Chiefs Conference.
