More villas planned for Dubai's Palm Jumeirah

Dubai's exotic Palm Jumeirah, home to the luxurious Atlantis hotel, is to get more villas by next year.Nakheel, the government-owned company, will start construction on the properties by the end of this year, although it is unconfirmed how many there will be.Indeed, the project is still in the design stages, company chairman Ali Rashid Lootah told Emirates 24/7.The company will also deliver 7,714 units across different projects by the end of 2012. This includes the construction of 1,663 units in International City, due for completion by March 2012, and 2,188 units in Jumeirah Village.Waterfront Badrah and Veneto, Jumeirah Heights and Al Furjan are just some of the other areas to see new projects.Nakheel is also expected to start construction of Palm Mall in Palm Jumeirah by the end of the year, the news provider reported.Mr Lootah added that the company has reduced service charges by over 30 per cent compared to last year, with the aim of having the "lowest service charges in Dubai".
