Dubai Metro project nearing completion and unveiling

The Dubai Metro project is set for completion in the coming month as the emirate's passenger numbers look set to double, people considering property investment in the area may be interested to hear.Stretching over 23 kilometres and featuring 18 different stations, Dubai's Green Line will become the longest driverless railway project in the world.Furthermore, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that all bar two of the stations on the line will open on September 9th, with the remaining stops being unveiled when property projects are completed, reports gulfnews.com.Mattar Al Tayer, chairman of the board and executive director of the RTA, told the news provider that train numbers are set to increase."According to the study carried out by the RTA for the areas covered by the Green Line, 14 trains will be operated during peak hours and ten trains during off-peak hours with a service frequency (headway) ranging from six to eight minutes," he told the news provider.Meanwhile, Salam Street in Abu Dhabi will be partially opened for traffic during Eid Al Fitr to help with car flow.
