Abu Dhabi to get new shopping mall
Hypermarket chain Lulu is to open a new shopping mall in Abu Dhabi as it seeks to expand within the UAE.It is located in Musrif and at 1.3 million square feet, has 210 shops and the largest restaurant area in the chain's malls in the UAE, Emirates 24/7 reports."We expect strong activity in this mall given its location," said Yousuf Ali, director of the company.In addition to the Musrif store - Lulu's 55th UAE mall and 98th in the Middle East - a further three will be opened in the UAE in the second half of the year.Abu Dhabi will receive another mall, while one will open in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.In April, Lulu was awarded a Dubai Quality Award, the first regional hypermarket to be given the accolade.Mr Ali said that now, the chain will aim for 17 per cent growth by the end of the year.
