Atlantis Hotel in Dubai set to ferry passengers by water taxi

People considering Dubai property investment could be interested to hear that a hotel in the emirate has improved transport links.RTA Public Transport Agency has signed an agreement with Atlantis Hotel that will see water taxi trips ferry people from the hotel on Jumeirah Palm to Dubai Creek.Tourists and residents will be able to use the service as the area looks to increase its green credentials while providing safety and fun, reports Emirates 24-7.Abdul Rahman Al Dossari, the chief executive officer of public transport agency Essa, who signed the agreement on behalf of the RTA, told the news provider that the move is to improve "tourist transport" and the tourism movement in general.He told the news provider: "The agreement underlies our belief in the importance of supporting the tourist sector with this service; which is a key pillar of the tourist sector business and an important source of income in this regard."Dubai's low-cost airline flydubai announced yesterday (June 30th) that it has seen a 200 per cent rise in passengers between June 2010 and May 2011.
