Will Etihad deal boost Abu Dhabi tourism?

Etihad has announced a new deal aimed at bringing more people to Abu Dhabi.The emirate's national carrier is offering flights, accommodation and entrance to some of the UAE's top attractions for just $1 plus taxes to children flying with their parent.Such a move could service to increase the popularity of Abu Dhabi, which already has a bustling expat community, as a tourist destination.Peter Baumgartner, Etihad's chief commercial officer, said: "Our home city of Abu Dhabi - and the whole of the UAE - is a world-class destination particularly suited to families and children."Etihad aims to offer great value for travelling families, especially during the popular summer travel season, making the wonders of Abu Dhabi both affordable and easy to access."The deal is available throughout Ramadan for passengers flying to Abu Dhabi in Etihad's Coral Economy Class from any of the 65 global destinations currently served by the carrier.
