Sheikh Al Nahyan opens new tourist attraction

Investor with an interest in Abu Dhabi's tourism industry could be among those encouraged by recent activity in the emirate.Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), has officially opened the Ocean Garden at the Kids Park in Abu Dhabi.It comes shortly after the ADTA was recognised as the Middle East's Leading Tourist Board by the World Travel Awards.The opening ceremony attracted a number of high-profile visitor with Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mualla and owner of the Kids Park Project, Nasser Lakraibani Al Nuaimi, among the guests.Sheikh Al Nahyan explained that the event was timed to coincide with World Ocean day."Besides its value as a tourism destination that attracts family and children, the project has also educational value as it gives them the rare opportunity of interacting with the biosphere," he commented.Abu Dhabi also recently opened the doors to its first, and the Middle East's largest, caviar factory and is expected to see its first commercial harvest in late 2012.
