Kenya named top investment choice in Africa

Kenya has been voted as one of the top African countries to invest in, according to the latest survey of business professionals by the Africa Business Panel. It was named third in the list of international investment opportunities, after South Africa and Nigeria. The survey comes as all three African economies show year-on-year growth, East African Business Week reported.Speaking to the news provider, Nicholas Sowden, business development manager at ToughStuff Kenya, said: "The Kenyan economy is growing at a blazing rate and has done so for the last three years. Nairobi as the regional hub for East Africa is becoming more important with the integration of the East Africa Community."For this reason dozens of companies are moving their regional and continental head quarters to Nairobi."He explained that the information and communication technology sector is particularly thriving in Kenya, while Nairobi "will continue to be one of the best environments for innovation in Africa".Other countries to make the list were Ghana, Angola, Tanzania, Rwanda, Botswana, Uganda and Mozambique.
