Dubai Metro will allow commuters 'integrated transport'

Dubai Metro's Green Line will allow commuters to integrate their transport options by parking at the stations before taking the train into central Dubai. This is according to the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), which noted that the stops on the new Green Line will service the main business districts in Dubai.Adnan Al Hammadi, chief executive of the RTA, explained that the line is "poised to bring about a substantial integration of mass transit modes as three key metro stations on this line (Etisalat, Al Ghubaiba and Abu Hail) are being fitted with parking spaces for vehicles and public buses; offering metro riders highly comfortable services and easy access to their intended destinations".Commuters will also be able to change to the Red Line, which has already opened, at two stations including the largest, The Union."The Dubai Metro Green Line Stations … are set to attract wide public turnout to the metro; making it the ideal mobility means, thus the Green Line is set to be instrumental to serving various destinations intended by both residents and visitors of Dubai," Mr Al Hammadi added.
