A major residential housing project has begun in Al Falah this week.Abu Dhabi-based developer Aldar started the first phase of construction this week, Overseas Property Professional (OPP) reported. The company informed OPP that the first 20 per cent of the 4,857 villas are scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2012.The remainder should be delivered to the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council by the end of the year.Aldar said: "The Al Falah community forms part of The Emirati Family Housing Program - a wider government initiative launched by the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council to create more social housing for the local population."A total of five villages will make up Al Falah. Each will offer a range of communities, including a mosque, shops and a landscaped market square placed strategically within a ten-minute walk of all of the villas.Meanwhile, a proper town centre will also be constructed, featuring apartments, a shopping mall, commercial office space and a hospital and several clinics.
