Positive hiring activity planned for UAE

UAE residents can expect to see increased hiring activity over the next three months, a new survey has revealed.The latest Middle East Job Index Survey by Bayt.com and YouGov Siraj showed 32 per cent of employers would definitely be hiring in the next quarter, while almost a quarter (24 per cent) said they would probably be increasing their workforce.Just five per cent said they would not seek to hire any new staff.Of the Middle East and North Africa region, the UAE was among the most attractive jobs market.The survey revealed that 64 per cent of employers see having Arabic and English language skills as more desirable than any other skill.By sector, Middle East firms are set to favour graduates and postgraduates with business management skills to fill executive roles, as well as graduates in commerce and administration.Sundip Chahal, chief operating officer at YouGov Siraj, commented: "We've found that the demand for junior level candidates from the business and finance sector is the highest in Middle East job market."
