Qatar set to invest in Kenya

The tourism, energy and real estate sectors are set to benefit from investment in Kenya.According to the Qatari Kenyan ambassador, Galma Buru, the Middle Eastern country has received proposals on investment in Kenya well.The ambassador said: "Tourism is among the key economic pillars to the attainment of vision 2030 and it is good news when investors have shown interest to invest in the sector."Mr Buru's comments come after week-long road show mounted by the Kenya's Tourist Board took place in the Gulf countries in order to market the African region as a tourist destination.The ambassador noted that there has clearly been some developing of hotels, lodges and other tourism facilities in Kenya."All these have provided the much needed opportunity for the investment," he remarked.The State of Qatar is an emirate in the Middle East, which occupies the small Qatar Peninsular on the coast of the larger Arabian Peninsula.It has the one of the world's largest per capita production levels and major reserves of both oil and natural gas.
