Dubai named 11th best city in the world for investment

Dubai is regaining its place as a leading real estate hub, with one survey naming the emirate as the 11th best place in the world for future investment.Following a long period of decline in the region, the Knight Frank Citi survey has revealed that Dubai has regained its place as one of the top 20 cities in the world, overtaking many more established cities, such as Washington, Zurich and Sydney.New York and London occupied the top two slots in the survey, while a number of emerging destinations also featured heavily - highlighting their strength in the wake of the global economic crisis.Indeed, the biggest winners were found to be Russia, India and China. The survey follows a recent poll conducted by Reuters which suggested that the property markets in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will benefit from the recent political unrest in the Middle East and Gulf region.According to the poll, which took into account the views of banks, investment and research firms, the emirates are now seen as a safe haven for investors in the region.
