Adding brand labels to Kenyan-made goods such as coffee, tea, clothing and other products for export will attract greater investor confidence, it has been suggested.
Mary Kimonye, managing director of Brand Kenya, which has developed a trademark to affix to Kenyan goods and products, told the Daily Nation that labels projects the country as an investment destination.
She said that the company is also keen to develop a national value system out of respect for people's property.
"We will document the dos and don'ts to create a national value system for a positive image of the country," she told the news provider.
In addition, Kenyan athletes are being used to promote tourism and investment in the country.
The company is working with US organisation Run with Kenyans, by inviting Kenyan athletes to sign autographs at the Boston Marathon next month (April), a race which has been won by Kenyan runners for the last 20 years.
