World soccer stars set to play in Dubai

Property investors with interests in the Middle East are seeing the UAE fast become one of the world's leading sports locations.Formula One, tennis and boxing have all held or are about to hold high-profile events in the country and the world's most popular sport is now also on its way.AC Milan and Paris Saint Germain (PSG), two of the most illustrious names in world football, are set to take part in the Dubai Football Challenge next month.The star-studded affair will offer Middle Eastern soccer fans the chance to glimpse a veritable who's who of the football world, with a number of big name players set to feature.AC Milan's Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic will line up alongside Brazil aces Robinho, Alexandre Pato and Thiago Silva for the Milan Club.PSG meanwhile, will rely on Javier Pastore, Jeremy Menez and Mamadou Sakho in order to overcome their Italian rivals.The game is scheduled to take place at the Al Ahli's Rashis Stadium on January 4th and Hamad Mohammad Bin Mejren, executive director of business tourism at the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), anticipates huge excitement."We are looking forward to a successful fourth edition of the Dubai Football Challenge with two great teams like AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain," he commented."As part of the DTCM strategies to promote Dubai, this event will contribute to positioning Dubai as a leading tourism and sport destination and stimulate visitors from key targeted markets around the world."
