Dubai landlords set to see demand rise

Demand for rental properties in Dubai is set to rise over the coming weeks, it has been suggested.A report in Emirates 24-7 has claimed that with affordable rents now more widely available, demand for properties is set to increase.Indeed, the news provider claims that affordable rents are no longer exclusive to areas like International City, Discovery Gardens or Dubai Silicon Oasis.According to the report, more "upmarket" areas are becoming affordable, leading to a rise in demand for properties in locations such as Jumeriah.Commenting on a compound of villas on Jumeriah Beach Road, Tareq Gouda, senior residential consultant at Better Homes' head office, told the newspaper: "We received the compound details on Monday; advertising was launched on Wednesday and Thursday; and by Saturday, all units were leased."Meanwhile, Dubai and Abu Dhabi were recently confirmed as the premier locations in the Middle East by a recently-published report. The Mercer 2011 Quality of Living Survey saw Dubai's ranking rise to 74th in the world, while Abu Dhabi moved from 83 to 78 on the chart.
