Dubai Hotels Hit Highest Occupancy for a Year

The month of February saw hotel occupancies in Dubai hit their highest for more than a year. The First Group’s hotel apartment project, The Diamond, was amongst the top few who experienced 100% occupancy during that period, and continue to enjoy a full house. 18 of the emirate’s leading hotels, including the Shangri-La, Emirates Towers, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Madinat Jumeirah and Grosvenor House also recorded levels of between 95-100% during the week of the 14th – 20th February.

Analysts say factors such as the Dubai Shopping Festival, events like the Dubai Desert Classic and the International Jazz Festival, as well as the influx of GGC holiday visitors and business tourists, have all served to boost occupancy levels. The First Group looks forward to opening a number of new hotel apartments to meet the rising demand in the very near future, including Metro Central, Grand Central and First Central, all located in the bustling business district of Tecom.
