Abuja to see daily flights to London resume

Abuja's property market could see a boost in the coming months after it was announced Arik Air will begin flying between the city and London this month. The airline will commence its services once again after operational problems in the UK meant that they had to be suspended recently. While flights used to take place five times per week, Arik has been given two additional slots so that it can fly seven times per week from December 12th, vanguardngr.com reports.Johnson Arumemi-Ikhide, executive and chairman of the airline, told the news provider that resumption will come as a welcome boost for Nigeria."As Nigeria's largest airline, it is imperative that we continue to fly the flag for the country and operate daily between London and Nigeria's federal and economic capitals," he explained."The route has for many years been under-served and there was very little value for money being offered."It comes after ministers revealed that they are trying to find ways of hosting the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
