RAK FTZ welcomes Canadian trade delegation

Property investors with interests in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) could be among those encouraged by the emirate's recent efforts to improve its trade links with Canada.RAK Free Trade Zone (FTZ), one of the UAE's leading free trade zones, recently welcomed a trade delegation from Canada in order to demonstrate the emirate's business credentials.Commenting at the time of the visit, Oussama El Omari, chief executive officer of RAK FTZ, said: "We are extremely privileged to welcome this high-level Canadian Business Mission to Ras Al Khaimah and showcase the world-class facilities and services on offer at RAK FTZ."We enjoy a strategic business relationship with Canada, which is a very important market for us and today we discussed a series of close co-operation opportunities across key sectors between RAK FTZ and Canadian companies."Meanwhile, RAK Airways has confirmed that it is set to embark on new services to Khartoum, Sudan.The new flights come in addition to new services to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Calicut, India, expanding the carrier's network of destinations to ten.
