New flights to improve links between RAK and Pakistan

Business and tourist links between the northern emirates and Pakistan could soon be boosted following the launch of new flights.RAK Airways, which operates out of Ras al Khaimah, has announced that it is to extend its current network of flights to Pakistan.As a result of the move, the carrier will now schedule flights from RAK to Peshawar and Lahore starting next month.The flights are sure to attract a lot of attention, given that the airline offers free parking to travellers opting to drive to RAK International Airport.Omar Jahameh, RAK Airways chief executive officer, said: "The addition of two new routes to our network is an extremely significant development for the airline as we celebrate our first anniversary."We re-launched operations in October 2010 with two inaugural routes - over the last twelve months we've focused our efforts on expanding our network to eight destinations while continuing to provide travellers with a value offering on all our flights."
