Could more people head to Kenya for safari trips?

More tourists could choose to head to Kenya for their holidays after research shows that the country is the most popular destination for safari holidays. The research was commissioned by the Kenya Tourist Board and found that as a long-established safari destination, Kenya has gained notoriety for offering once in a lifetime nature experiences.A survey showed that 83 per cent of tourists would be interested in spending their holiday in Kenya's national parks and game reserves where they can spot the 'big five': lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. This could encourage property investors in Kenya to consider land close to these areas to benefit from the country's tourism."Kenya's wildlife is the destination's key attraction and so safaris in Kenya should not be missed," said Angie Sloan, director of Kenya Tourist Board for UK and Ireland.Another investment opportunity could be along the coastline, as Ms Sloan added: "Kenya is also the perfect destination for twin-centre holidays where visitors can tie in a safari in one of the 59 National Parks with a relaxing beach break in one of the luxurious resorts along Kenya's 300 miles of Indian Ocean coastline."
