Bahrain Air to boost Dubai flight numbers

Dubai's tourism industry could be set to receive a significant boost following the launch of new flights into the emirate.Bahrain Air has revealed that it is set to increase the number of flights it operates to Dubai from 16 to 21 per week, Gulf News reported. This could encourage a number of property investors to seek buy-to-let opportunities in Dubai in order to benefit from any spike in demand as a result of the additional flights.Captain Ebrahim Al Hamer, managing director of the carrier, told the news provider: "Dubai is a big market, the size of business and the economy is growing and the economic situation in the UAE, especially Dubai, is similar to Bahrain in terms of the type of economy and the focus on financial services."The two markets complement each other. So therefore it makes sense to service tourism and business."It comes after a number of airlines, serving a range of countries including India, Singapore and the Czech Republic, announced that additional flights to Dubai and other areas in the UAE will be launched in order to meet growing demand.
