Hard Rock Cafe, the internationally renowned rock n' roll-themed restaurant, is to get a Dubai relaunch at Festival City (DFC), it has been revealed.
Gulf News claims to have learned that the Hard Rock Cafe Dubai will re-open as a new 26,500 square-foot restaurant at the Intercontinental Hotel end of DFC, boasting a large indoor music stage and enough room to host 300 patrons.
It comes after more than 10,000 fans joined a Facebook campaign to re-establish a Dubai branch when it was closed in March 2009.
According to Gulf News, the new Dubai restaurant will be the largest Hard Rock Cafe outside of North America and will also feature the largest Hard Rock Shop in the world.
In addition, it was revealed that the new outlet will draw attention to its creekside location by building the tallest ornamental guitar in the world - set to reach a height of 118 feet - near the boulevard fronting DFC.
The news comes after Rizwan Sajan, chairman of Danube Building Materials, told the Khaleej Times this week that Dubai will continue to offer ideal investment opportunities because of its infrastructure facilities and business-friendly policies.
