The Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD), the emirate's healthcare regulator, has announced the opening of new customer service counters at two central locations as it looks to expand its outreach to customers and enhance its services.
HAAD confirmed the new counters will be based at Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Marina Mall and will offer a wide range of services to investors, organisations and the public.
Such services include handling healthcare facility licensing requirements, issuing birth certificates and dealing with health insurance complaints, among others.
"Reaching all our customers, irrespective of where they live, work or spend their leisure time, is one of our highest priorities," said Ali Obaid Al Ali, director of health regulation at HAAD.
Meanwhile, at the second annual Hospital Build Middle East Exhibition & Congress last week, it was also reported that the level of private equity investment in the Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) healthcare sector is rising strongly.
