A lavish Mediterranean garden covering 20,000 square metres has opened at the exclusive Al Barari residential development in Dubai.
More than 650 guests and residents attended an evening of celebration to mark the opening of what will be the first of six botanical gardens at the development.
Al Barari is one of the lowest density developments in the region, with more than 80 per cent of the residential site featuring open spaces, gardens, lakes and waterways.
The Mediterranean Garden was planted with more than 10,000 plants,
shrubs and groundcovers and over 250 palms and trees.
Mohammed bin Zaal, chief executive officer of Al Barari said: "We are delighted to be celebrating another milestone, and one that epitomises the very essence of what Al Barari is - a haven from the hectic pace of modern life."
Development at Al Barari is on track, with all of its 275 villas, retail and community amenities in the first phase scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
