Dubai's Mirdif City Centre shopping mall has broken customer footfall records after receiving over one million visitors in its first three weeks of trading.
The mall opened on March 16th and welcomed more than 76,000 customers on that day alone as crowds flocked to see Mirdif City Centre's new stores, leisure and entertainment facilities.
Three iconic American brands - American Eagle, Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids – have made their Middle East debut at the mall and M.H. Alshaya, the local retail giant which oversaw their launch, has confirmed that since day one the reaction to the new stores has been extremely positive.
Yousif Al Ali, vice president of Mirdif City Centre, added: "We always knew that the launch of Mirdif City Centre would be big, but to get over a million customers in the first three weeks is quite exceptional - these numbers are a testament to the excellent retail mix, dining options and never-seen-before leisure attractions that Mirdif City Centre offers."
The mall is the first in the UAE to follow ecologically friendly and sustainability compliant construction techniques from its early design stages and is in the process of acquiring a Gold LEED certification.
