The director-general of Dubai's Department of Economic Development has highlighted the benefits of foreign direct investment in the emirate.
According to Sami Dhaen Al Qamzi, Dubai continues to be one of the most favoured places for foreign direct investment, which has been boosted by the emirate's world-class infrastructure and its highly attractive investment climate.
Commenting on the recent AT Kearney report, which found Dubai to be the top place for foreign investors in the Middle East, Mr Al Qamzi said: "This came at a time when we needed such feedback."
He said that the overall confidence of investors in Dubai was outlined by the positive report, which noted that more than 80 per cent of businesses chief executive officers and chairman were considering increasing the amount of capital they have invested in the city.
Meanwhile, Walid Hayeck, director and head of asset management at TNI, told Arabian News that the Middle East has maintained its position as one of the most attractive regions for investment in the world.
