Jaleel Group, an AED 1.5 billion Dubai-based trading conglomerate, has confirmed plans to expand its wholesale and retail operations by opening several new outlets.
The group, which owns ten companies in the UAE and has seven retail and eight wholesale operations as well as warehouses and manufacturing facilities, claimed to have undergone rapid growth in recent years.
"Over the last two years, we have expanded about 300 per cent, investing over AED 80 million," managing director Sameer K. Mohammad told Gulf News.
"Despite the current slowdown, our retail and wholesale operations are expanding due to rising demand, which reflects the fact that the economy is coming back."
Jaleel Group stated its expansion plans after recently opening a new wholesale point in Ajman.
Gulf News observed that the group is among the largest wholesale dealers and distributors in the UAE. It deals in kitchen utensils, stationery, fresh vegetables, foodstuffs, perfumes and personal care products, among other areas.
